Congratulations to our U10 and U11 Teams in the Belle River Memorial Tournament this past weekend!
Our U10 A Team, coached by Matt Boroski and sponsored by Central Park Athletics, were finalists this weekend bringing home silver medals! After going 3-1 in Round Robin play, the team grinded out a nail biting 5-4 victory over Erie in the Semi Finals. This set up a matchup with the tournament favourite, Mount Brydges Cougars. The U10s fell 5-1 earning them a second place finish
The U11A Team, coached by Jeff Youssef and also sponsored by Central Park Athletics, snuck into the semi finals with a 1-1-2 record and matched up against Erie North Shore in the semi's. The game went to overtime, which solved nothing which required an 8 round(!!!!!!) shootout! After finishing off Erie, the kids were set to face Halton Hills in the finals. The final game also needed extra time, and Windsor came out on top with Ashton Hallett scoring the winner just over three minutes into Overtime! Way to go Spits on your GOLD medal!
