Clinics fill up quickly. To secure your spot, you must mail a cheque with completed form to:

There is no cost to members of the WMHA who take these clinics and are on the coaching staff of a WMHA Team. Cheques will be returned once volunteer is rostered to a WMHA Team.
Follow the steps below. Getting certified is as easy as a.b.c.
a. See Figure 1 to pick the course you have to sign up for or contact your V.P.
b. Download, print and fill out the form. Make cheque out to WMHA, include the cost, posted date to the clinic date and mail it with your form to the address above. You will be notified once we have received it to confirm your spot.
c. Show up to the clinic ON TIME. If you fail to show up your cheque will be cashed.
WMHA Bylaws:
The Association will sponsor coaches’ clinics each season and it will be mandatory for all coaches to attend when requested. The registration fee for the clinic will be refunded to the attendee once the attendee is rostered to a WMHA team during the current season or the following season. (new May 2009)

Atom – Midget Coaches can complete the Development 1 (D1) instead of Coaches Stream Clinic.
S.O – Speak Out or PRS or RIS

Speak Out / RIS (Respect In Sports) This is an On Line Clinic available for Head Coach, Assistant Coach, Trainer, Manager, Parent Liaison, or On Ice Helper. Once successfully completed, there is no need to take a refresher course. If you have already taken speak out you don't need to take this course. Pay for the course on line by credit card. Once completed send a copy of your "Respect Group Inc - Program Completion" e mail with your mailing address to johnalop@gmail.com . Once rostered to a team you will be reimbursed via cheque. Fee $30.00
Trainer Fee $80.00 Trainer Refresher Required every three years once you obtained certification as a Trainer. You may be exempt from this recertification if you have standard First Aid and CPR. Contact the WMHA for approval. Fee $ 55.00 Coaches Stream Designed for Coaches and Assistant Coaches in the Atom to Midget divisions in House League. Required every 3 years. This in an 8-hour clinic. Fee $120.00 D1 - Developmental: This clinic is for all Travel Coaches that are coaching for Novice to Midget. This is a 16 hour clinic (two days) and the certification is valid for 3 years. Fee $140.00 CHIP The CHIP (Canadian Hockey Initiation Program) clinic is required for all volunteer Coaches and Assistant Coaches in the Novice and Tykes division. This is an 8-hour clinic with a 1 hour on ice session. You must bring your helmet, skates, hockey gloves & stick for the on ice session. Fee $80.00 Coach Refresher: Required as a re-certification for the Developmental One Clinic and Coaches Stream. This is a 4-hour clinic. Fee $50.00 |
