Blue Water Game #18 Windsor 4 Tecumseh 4
The Windsor Jr. Spits took on the Tecumseh Eagles at home in a week where some of the top teams met and could have impact on the order of the Blue Water division Standings.
Johnny 'Blue Eyes' is in the house to belt out the LETS GO WINDSOR. And the game is on !!!!
Period 1
Windsor and Tecumseh both come out and it seems a slower game but one we are not taking advantage of. Later in the period Lester whips through a few Eagles and breaks to the goaltender but the Eagles tender is sharp. Later it is Muxlow through a few and is stopped. Windsor is on the PK but Reinmeitz breaks through and whips a firecracker and is robbed by the quick glove of the Tecumseh goalie. The game is evenly played until the buzzer sounds ending the period 0-0.
Period 2
Tecumseh is hammering Windsor to start the second. Mila is forced into displaying her talents 4 times in a short period of time. Thanks for keeping us in there Mila!!! Later is it the defenseman Laporte stopped as he makes an end to end rush. Deep into the period it is Miller with a pass to Justin for our first goal of the game. 1-0 Windsor. Later Tecumseh battles in front and our defense can't clear. Goal Tecumseh. 1-1. At the end of 2 we are tied at 1-1.
Period 3
Now Tecumseh is on a roll and beat the Windsor defenders again with a rush and capitalize going up 2-1. Now it is Miller with a pass from Hotham and evens up the score at 2 a piece with a low shot left side. Muxlow is stopped and later Miller is stopped. Again it is Muxlow with the puck and he eyes Knowler racing towards the net. He passes and Knowler eyes the goal and fires blocker side and scores. We have the lead 3-2. Muxlow is stopped with a left pad save after another break. Now Justin receives a pass from Hotham and scores putting us up 4-2. There is some breathing room. Later Windsor wins the face off but loose control of the puck in their own zone. It is a weaklow shot on a screened goalie and boom - just like that it is 4-3 Windsor. Muxlow is again stopped on a break - come on!! Windsor and Tecumseh are battling fierce and Tecumseh gets a low shot from way back and it is in 5 hole. All tied up!!!!
Windsor gets a PP with 2 minute left to play and play regular lines. We cannot capitalize and the game ends 4-4 .
Windsor had a chance to put their stamp on a 1st or second place position and it wasn't to be. We tied the second last team and lost a must win game against Essex. It sounds worse than it is. We have gone 1-0-1 against the top of the division and have beat every team in the league this season. We can win it all! We can and We believe in our team. LETS DO THIS!!!
