The regular season is over and we finished it with a bang!! Congrats to the team on their 2-0 win over the LaSalle Sabres. The coaches unanimously agreed that tonight's game was by far the best game each and every player had all season long. One objective of coaching is to get the team to peak just before playoffs and then maintain and fine tune that level for the duration of the playoffs. Tonight's game capped a slow return to form since the Columbus tournament and the coaches are very proud of each and every players perseverance to this point.
We finished the season with winning record and a positive GF-GA differential!! These were two goals we had for the season.
We had a seasonal series record of 2-1-1 with summary of each below.
We finished the Belle River series 2-2-2
We finished the Kent series 5-1-0
We finished the LaSalle series 3-1-2 (plus 1 loss in tournament)
We finished the Tecumseh series 1-5-0
However, none of that really matters now as the second season or the real season, the Playdowns, are about to start. We will need everyone to bring their A game each and every game and practice from here on out.
Tonight was fun!!!
Go Spits Go!!
