The U18A Team Coached by George Voros, took home the gold medals in the 40th annual Stoney Creek Tournament of Champions this past weekend!
After going 2-1-1 in round robin, the squad needed some help to get into the finals. In the end, they got the help and finished second moving on to play the Kingston Canadians. The boys came out flying. Ashton Maluske (assisted by his brother Jordan) scored early. Kingston scored to tie it at 1. The Spits then took a 3-1 lead with goals by Anthony Beloulis and Keegan Laporte. Kingston pulled within a goal, but a beautiful PP goal by Beloulis saw the Spits regain the two goal lead holding on with some great saves by goaltender Austin Senay to win GOLD!
