Novices get an assist from Applebee's
It has already been a busy month for the Windsor Jr. Spitfires Novice AA team, practising twice a week and tacking on hard-fought games against their rivals from across the Bluewater League.

Not resting on their laurels, this past Sunday, the boys came together for a little fundraising and camaraderie.

The WMHA's youngest travel team were early risers on Sunday, making their way out to Applebee's on Huron Church for a flapjack fundraiser.

Serving their friends and family, the boys bused tables, served food, seated, and spent a good amount of time cheering on the hockey fights on the early morning TSN Sports Centre.

They were all smiles as they met and greeted their supporters at the restaurant.

The event served, not just as a fundraiser, but an opportunity for the players to bond and enjoy themselves outside of the rink.

Thank you to Applebee's and their staff for allowing us to use their resources for our team and a special thank you to team fundraiser Renee MacDonald for her patience and hooking us up with this great opportunity.

The Lil' Spits are next in action this Friday, December 13 at 6:30 p.m. at the Capri Pizza Recreation Complex.
