tips for Volunteers and Parents
Submitted By Shannon Munson on Thursday, August 8, 2019
Volunteers: We couldn’t do it without you! Please note the following requirements for volunteers of WMHA:

1)      First time volunteer? Police Clearance – please follow instructions here:

2)      Returning Volunteer? Criminal Offence Declaration

3)      Volunteer RIS (or previously achieved Speak Out)

4)      *New - Gender Equity and Identity Course:

As for volunteers there are a few reminders. In order to be on the bench or ice with players you must have the following;
1) police clearance (email [email protected] for vulnerable sector letter before going to get clearance)
2) Activity Leader Respect In Sports course
*And in the process of getting
3) Gender identity and expression course.

The costs will be refunded once you are placed on a roster.

Parents..please note! Rosters of teams will not be completed until at least one parent has the PARENT RESPECT IN SPORTS COURSE linked to their child. This costs $12 one time for one parent for all kids in hockey. This is parent cost.

All info about how to do these things are on the mites to novice section of and in the letter forwarded to you by your coach initially (Article name: Welcome to the 2018-2019 Season).

Once again thanks to everyone for a great start!
Yours in hockey,
Judy Wylie
VP of Novice and Below
