Welcome TO THE W.M.H.A. 2014/15 HOCKEY SEASON!
Welcome to the W.M.H.A. Novice Program!
Our mission is to promote and encourage player development, fair play, sportsmanship and most importantly...FUN!
We will begin our season on Saturday, September 6th and Sunday, September 7th with start times between 9:00 am and 1:30 pm at South Windsor Arena. The season begins with three weekends of tryouts. The tryouts are held to determine the teams and help give a level playing field for the year. Our coaches will contact you by September 2nd with the times for the first two weeks of tryouts. If you have not heard from them by September 4th, please contact Roger or Jodi.
Your player will need full equipment (that is in good condition), a plastic sports water bottle labelled with their name and a hockey stick. Below is a photo of the equipment required.
We will provide your player with a jersey and socks on their first day once the teams are designated. During tryouts they will need to bring their own.
NECK GUARDS AND MOUTH GUARDS ARE MANDATORY OR THEY WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO GO ON THE ICE!
For the first day of tryouts, please come early enough to go to the registration table to check in and receive a sticker that will be placed on the front of the helmet (first day only). To make things smoother, please have the helmet out and ready for sticker placement. Report each day to the table for attendance and dressing room assignment.
