Emara Laser Eye Center Team wins Hockey for Hospice!
Congrats to the "Emara Eye Center" Bantam House league team for winning the Hockey for Hospice Championship this weekend!

Coached by head coach Rob Benneian, assistant coach Mitchell Brandner, assistant coach/trainer Kory Bremner, assistant coach/trainer Joshua Duval and manager Barry Emara. The team got better and better as the tournament went on. They beat Chatham 7-4 in their first game on Friday in LaSalle. They then tied Riverside 5-5 in Lakeshore that night. They scored in the last minute to tie a very good LaSalle team 3-3 Saturday morning in Amherstburg to qualify for the B division semi finals. They returned to the Vollmer Saturday night and defeat Belle River, 4-2, in the semi final with a hard-working team effort earning a trip to the finals.

They arrived at Tecumseh Arena Sunday for a noon game against Amherstburg. They scored quickly on the second shift of the game, and hung on for a 1-0 win, including killing off a third period 5-on-3 and another Amherstburg power play in the final minutes.Isaac Jiang is our goalie who had the shutout in the finals. Kaleb Harway, Ante Jaksic, Adam Jakovcic, Paul Roberts and Ben Matic were named Player of the Game for our five tournament games. In true #wmhagivesback fashion, they also raised nearly $2,500 for Hospice.Congrats on the win to the coaches and players!

Well deserved and great contribution to Hockey for Hospice!
