We are going to the Semi Finals!!!
Our boys played an amazing game today!! Way to go boys!!! St Thomas was determined to beat us today to get our spot in the Semi Finals....but we worked hard and stopped them!!
The first period ended with a 1-0 lead for St Thomas and no score change at the end of the second period. The 3rd period was filled with on-the-edge-of-your-seat action!! Our own Matteo Mejalli tied up the score , making it 1-1....a few minutes later Brett MacDonald scored a goal that put us in the lead 2-1...followed by St Thomas's goal to tie us up. A couple minutes later St Thomas scored again (3-2) Things were looking pretty bleak for us as time was ticking away and St Thomas was putting extra pressure on us.....but did that stop us?? NO! With .2 seconds left in the third period, Alex Cunningham (assisted by Mike Burke) breaks past St Thomas's defense and pummels a shot right into the net!!!! Making it a 3-3 tie and securing us a spot in the semi-finals!!! GREAT game today!!!
