Bantam AE Score Silver in South Bend
The Irish Cup Tournament in South Bend Indiana proved another successful tournament for the Bantam AE Team.
The Team started the tournament with wins over Compuware (7-2) and St. Peters Spirit (9-1) before running into a very strong Sarnia Sting team who bested our boys 5-1 in the round robin match and then again 7-2 in the finals.
2 games were played on the 1st Class Compton Ice Arena. The first on an Olympic sized rink and the second on an even WIDER rink! Weekend highlights included a highlight reel goal from Ethan McIntosh described as a "Bullet Slap Shot" fired while streaking down the right side of the ice. Another haunted house was hunted down not as scary as the first I'm told but ok. And the team stimulated the US economy by partaking in the procurement of some Fighting Irish souvenirs while others toured the campus and took in the sights.
Congrats to the Coaches and Players for another fine outing.
