Games 8 through 11
Article by Heather Dobransky

It's hard to believe that Windsor's Atom Minor AA team has already played 11 regular season games and that the kids are only 9 days away from playing in the much anticipated Three Rivers Cup Tournament in Pittsburgh.
The Spits played off against the Amherstburg Stars in their 8th regular season game. Unfortunately Amherstburg came out strong and stayed consistent, dominating the ice with a win of 8-0. The 9th regular season game sent Windsor out to Leamington on a Friday night at 8:15pm! The kids battled hard, played as a team, and walked away with their first tie of the season. The final score was 1-1.  Games 10 and 11 we were not as successful. The Kent Cobras beat the Windsor Jr. Spitfires 5-0 on Saturday afternoon. Windsor then traveled out to Belle River the next day. The kids were able to keep the score from going above 2 goals throughout most of the second period, but then Belle River pulled up their pants and beat the Spits 5-0.
This Thursday the kids are off to the Windsor Spitfires game. Both on and off the ice the kids are reaping the benefits of playing travel hockey!  I'm sure everyone will enjoy themselves and have a great time at the game!

Go Spits!
