Jr. Spits Win 9-4 Over Rangers
This afternoon the Novice AE Jr. Spits took on the Riverside Rangers in their first match up of the season.   First period: Approximately five minutes into the first, Pougnet got the scoring going for the Spits during a Rangers line change, making it 1-0 Windsor. 



With under 2 minutes to go in the period, there was a scrum in front of the Rangers net and Pougnet tipped it in off of a shot from Gato, 2-0 Windsor. 

Second period: 14 seconds into the second, Windsor’s Langlois scores to make it 3-0.  Riverside got on the scoreboard shortly thereafter with a power play goal, making it 3-1. With 3 minutes left in the second, Windsor was on a power play of their own, but the Rangers dominated the play and ended up scoring a short-handed goal, bringing the score to 3-2. 

Third period: During the short intermission between periods, Windsor seemed to regroup and they came out with renewed determination. They ended up scoring 6 goals to Riverside’s 2. Scoring for the Jr. Spits was Ward, Fry, Jakovcic, Conrod, Beloulis, Pougnet (for the hatrick,) and Conrod. Final score; Windsor 9, Riverside 4.
