Windsor Jr. Spits Tie LaSalle Sabres Gold 2-2
Windsor Jr. Spits Tie LaSalle Sabres Gold 2-2On Thursday, November 5th, the Windsor Novice AE Jr. Spits played the LaSalle Sabres Gold in an early evening game at the Vollmer Complex. After going almost two weeks without a game, it was evident that the Spits were a little rusty out of the gate.

By the start of the third period, LaSalle was ahead 2-0. Both Spits goaltenders, Renaud and Larocque, made some timely saves to keep the game close. In the third period, the fog seemed to lift, and Windsor began pressuring the home team. The Spits were getting lots of scoring chances now, but it was Conrod who put two past the Sabres netminder to tie up the game. Time ran out before either team could score the tie-breaker, so the final score was 2-2.

The Novice AE Jr. Spits are back at it today! Let’s go Spits!
