Windsor Jr. Spits Novice AE- OMHA Finalists
The Novice AE team capped an already successful season by placing first in the Blue Water division.

They beat out Belleriver in 4 games to make it to the OMHA finals where they are facing the St. Thomas Stars. The last time these two teams met during tournament play earlier in the season, both games ended with Windsor losing 5-0.

Game 1:The series opened in front of a large hometown crowd on Friday, March 11 at South Windsor Arena. Both teams came out ready to battle and everyone in attendance was treated to a thrilling game! The Jr. Spits quickly adapted to the fast and physical pace set by the St. Thomas team. Both teams were scoreless in the first period. During the second, St. Thomas managed to sneak two past Windsor's netminder, Larocque. The Jr. Spits continued to work hard throughout the third, and while they had several good scoring opportunities, they just couldn't seem to get one by the St. Thomas goaltender. The game ended with St. Thomas winning 2-0.

Game 2:The following day, the Jr. Spits travelled to St. Thomas for an afternoon game. Once again, St. Thomas opened the scoring but this time Windsor, for the first time ever, responded with a goal of their own! Ward! The score was 1-1 at the end of the first period. During the second period, once again for the first time ever, the Jr. Spits took the lead when Beloulis scored a beauty to make it 2-1. The lead was short-lived however, and St. Thomas scored to make it 2-2. At the start of the third, St. Thomas got lucky on a bad bounce to make it 3-2. With 5:38 remaining, the Jr. Spits got a power play goal from their big defenseman, Geng, who took it coast to coast to make it a tie game. The score remained 3-3 for the remainder of the game and throughout an intense 10 minute overtime. Final score 3-3. What a game!!!

Game 3 takes place today at 5:30 in St. Thomas. Let's go Spits!!! VM
