Windsor Minor Hockey Association is proud to announce the addition of a U8 Development Team!

Tryouts will be held on December 8th @ 8:15am at Capri Pizzeria Recreation Center at a cost of $10

The objective of the U8 program is to equip young players with the necessary skills to be confident and play at competitive levels in the future. The program will also serve as a foundation to help ensure that all Windsor Minor hockey teams stay competitive and will help to maintain a winning culture on and off the ice. Sessions will focus around early hockey development and promote a positive experience for all players, parents and coaches. We will ensure the well-being of players is at the forefront and run a program that will expand not only their ability but also their knowledge and love for the game.

Planning and Budget

This program will be run with advanced players who are committed and receptive to the additional coaching available.  We will provide the players with a positive experience and allow them to operate as a team while following the Hockey Canada pathway.  There will be a budget to pay for ice costs and provide the players with a uniform to provide a sense of unity when arriving to the rink and to representing WMHA.  This program will be run primarily Sunday mornings at 8:15am at Capri Pizzeria Recreation Center.  The cost will be determined depending on numbers, but, is expected to be between $300 and $400 (depending on numbers) which includes ice time, jersey, socks and a hoodie or jacket.  Fundraising options may be available and will be discussed at a parents meeting.
