WMHA Skills Nights continue
Tuesday night skills are BACK!  And FREE for goalies!

Read on for more!

WMHA is happy to confirm that the ‘Tuesday Night Skill Development Sessions’ will continue- for ALL players- house league and travel, goalies included. A ‘3-pack’ of sessions will begin on Tuesday, February 14, 2023. These sessions will continue at Capri Pizzeria Arena until February 28, 2023. Goalie instruction will be provided by Major League Goaltending, and DJ Turner (519 Hockey) will lead the player sessions. This instruction will be offered during the first 2 sessions, with the last session being an organized full-ice scrimmage.

This package of sessions will be offered to all 2009- 2016 WMHA players and goalies. Tentatively, younger players (2016- 2013) will be on the ice from 6:30- 7:30 PM, while the older players (2012- 2009) will skate from 7:30- 8:30 PM. NOTE: depending on numbers and skill level, some 2013's may skate from 7:30- 8:30 pm, while some 2012's may be assigned to the 6:30 sessions.

The cost for 3 sessions (3 hours) will be $50. These sessions will be free for goalies- but with limited spots available. Unfortunately, we cannot track missed sessions or offer refunds. Upon confirmation of your child's participation, you will receive an email with payment instructions. Full payment (via

e-transfer) will be due before the first session (by 5 PM on Monday, February 13, 2023).

If you are interested in these sessions, please complete the following survey to reserve a spot ASAP- these development sessions have been very popular and fill up quickly!

Club 240
Founded by the late Jimmy Hogan, inductee into the Windsor-Essex County Sports Hall of Fame in 1999. Club 240 had its beginnings in 1960, when Jimmy’s kids started playing outdoor hockey at Memorial Park. At that time the only league operating indoors was Midget; the outdoor season was limited to only 7 or 8 games, as the city didn’t allow teams to go beyond the league into the Ontario Minor Hockey Association playdowns (OMHA).
