U8 and U9 Travel Tryouts
Recently the OMHA announced some important changes to U8MD and U9MD

The OMHA announced U8MD and U9MD tryouts can be held in the spring.  In the same announcement, open geographical borders for U8 and U9 similar to U10 and up was also implemented.

What does all this mean?  2018 and 2017 born players can try out for travel in April.  Those players are eligible to try out at ANY association of their choosing.  This means players have the option to choose the best fit for them.

Why is Windsor Minor Hockey the best fit for U8 and U9 players?
- Our MD teams receive a minimum of 3 skates per week (two practices and one game slot).
- Ice times are consistently scheduled.
- MD teams have biweekly professional skill development from DHD Hockey and Major League Goaltending.
- U8 and U9 travel teams in Windsor do not play house league.
- BOTH U8 and U9 are dedicated travel teams that play in the Bluewater League against other area travel teams.
- WMHA MD teams will enter 3-4 tournaments during their seasons.
- All WMHA Travel teams have weekly access to additional hours of open ice at no additional cost to the teams
- WMHA travel teams from U8 to U18 will have the ability to access the high performance training center at Central Park Athletics
- Home and Away travel jerseys with choice of number
- Optional 3rd jersey (design to be unveiled soon!)

Keep an eye on wmha.net and our social media for tryout registration that will be available soon
