WMHA held our 2020 AGM on Sunday July 5th virtually. The meeting went very well with minimal technical issues. Overall there were 50 guests including our board members. A variety of topics were covered.

A brand new set of association by-laws were unanimously voted in by our members! These by-laws are in-line with the OMHA, the Canadian Corporations Act, and other associations in Ontario and now allow our members (parents and volunteers) the ability to vote on by-laws changes as well as Director’s elections, among many other exciting changes.

A brand new WMHA Award was unveiled. The Rick Murdoch Community Excellence award will be given each year to someone that devotes thankless amounts of time and goes above the call to help mentor, coach and make WMHA the best hockey association in our area in honour of Rick Murdoch who volunteered for a number of years and after a stint of professional scouting, he joined the board in 1993 serving the next 16 years in various capacities. Murdy is currently on the board as an advisor and has been such an integral resource during the transition period. Thank you Rick for all you do!
