WMHA is looking for candidates to referee in the upcoming season. In order to be eligible for the minor clinic the applicant must be born in the years 2007, 2008 and 2009.
School objectives:
- To teach the methods and procedures of officiating in both the 2 & 3 official systems, as well as the new guidelines for modified ice hockey
- To instruct uniform interpretation of the rules
- To provide each official with two on-ice sessions to acquaint them with the duties of officiating
- To provide each official with an opportunity to improve overall officiating performance
- To learn effective communication strategies and techniques
The OMHA Referee School will be at the WFCU Centre on September 21st and 22nd 2024, attendance both days is mandatory. The cost has not yet been determined. Anyone interested in encouraged to fill out the attached form, limited spots are available.
