Bantam 05-06, 2019-2020, House (Windsor Minor Hockey Association)

The Windsor Firefighter Benefit Fund team went to the Hockey for Hospice Tournament over the winter break winning the C division. The team, coached by Jeremy Chesterfield, worked hard, played as a team and came out victorious! Most of all, their comradery also resulted in contributions to Hospice which epitomizes what #wmhagivesback stands for. Well done to Jeremy and his team!

Calling all volunteers to wear the ugliest, gawdiest, horrible and perhaps bright and sparkly holiday sweaters on Sunday December 22nd! All bench staff (and parents too!) are encouraged to find, make or buy your best "Ugly Sweater" entry into the contest. Judges will be around the rinks to award some ugly and awful prizes - and some cool team prizes as well!So start preparing and creating for December 22nd! We look forward to seeing you brighten the arena!

As the holidays draw near, it is important to update you on some important dates and info as the season progresses. Practices are cancelled on January 4th at Capri - as there is another event outside of WMHA! Games at Knox will go as scheduled on January 5th! Playoffs will be as follows (yes playoffs!) February 2 - Round Robin #1 February 9 - Round Robin #2 Febraury 16 - Round Robin #3 February 23 - Round Robin #4 March 1 - Semifinals/Consolation March 8 - Day of Champs!

Thanks for all that came out last weekend at start up. We are all done with the evaluations and drafts and ready to start the season. You should have been contacted by your coach and should be able to view your schedule. There will be 5 teams in Bantam - welcoming more players, and still maintaining on ice hours. Each week there will be shared practices on Saturday and one team each week will have a full ice practice. There is also opportunity at this time to host another team and have an exhibition game.
