Season's Greeting from Windsor Minor Hockey!
On Friday March 13, 2020, OMHA put a halt to the season that ended up being the final day of the season for 2019-2020.Schools also closed, lockdowns began and numbers of Covid-19 increased in our province, country and the world. Throughout this time, players, families and hockey associations planned and anticipated an opening to the next season. We finally started back, albeit under different restrictions, guidelines, temperature checks and covid-19 screening in September 2020.

For 13 weeks we developed players, played modified games, gained comradery and engaged in the sport we love - hockey. Unfortunately, hockey came again to a sudden halt with the closure of City of Windsor Arenas, and soon after, grey zone imposed by our Premier and Provincial Health Unit. The newest lockdown in Ontario has put a stop to hockey until mid-January, but we hope that 2021 will bring the resurgence of our sport and the continued friendships, support and comradery we have grown to know and appreciate. As we take this pause, enjoy your family time, take time to relax, and appreciate the small things like the cold in our toes at the arenas, the stink of equipment and replacing of equipment as your child has outgrown yet another helmet or set of shin pads. As this year draws to a close we want to thank the volunteers, sponsors, parents and players that make hockey possible for WMHA.

Happy Holidays and here's to a better 2021!
