2020-2021 Season Update
WMHA Families,

We hope you are all staying safe and healthy. It is with a heavy heart that we must announce the 2020-2021 season will conclude effective February 1st, 2021. This was an exceedingly difficult decision, however, one that we believe is for the best for both our members and the WMHA.

Factors such as not knowing when the ice will be put back in at the rinks, when will the health unit place us in a color that will allow our programming, and what date would that put us at to start, are all contributing to this difficult decision.

We would like to assure you while this season must come to an end, we will be working diligently day in and day out to ready ourselves for the 2021-2022 season where we are hoping to be able to offer normal programming once again. Furthermore, while our season is ending, players looking to continue skating can contact Cadotte hockey academy, 519 hockey, or PPH for skates when and if ice is open back in the city.

We will be determining refunds and will update you with more information as it becomes available. We ask for some patience when processing the refunds.

We want to thank all of our sponsors, please show them support when you can, we can’t run hockey without them. We would also like to thank all of the volunteers, parents, and players for making this irregular hockey season such a success. We will continue to keep you updated in regards to the refunds, and next season. Thanks for your patience and commitment to the sport we all love. Take care and be safe.

Club 240
Founded by the late Jimmy Hogan, inductee into the Windsor-Essex County Sports Hall of Fame in 1999. Club 240 had its beginnings in 1960, when Jimmy’s kids started playing outdoor hockey at Memorial Park. At that time the only league operating indoors was Midget; the outdoor season was limited to only 7 or 8 games, as the city didn’t allow teams to go beyond the league into the Ontario Minor Hockey Association playdowns (OMHA).
