WMHA Families,

Please find latest vaccines requirements summarized below

CITY OF WINDSOR Vaccination Policy as of September 22, 2021

Media release from Drew Dilkens, Mayor of Windsor:

Final clarification about the vaccine requirement for entering all city of Windsor facilities is as follows:

Youth age 12-17 must have one dose (two doses plus 2 weeks by October 31, 2021 which aligns with our governing body, OMHA Ontario Minor Hockey)

All 18+ Volunteers as well as 18+ players require two doses plus two weeks effective September 22, 2021.

This is over and above our OMHA policy as well as government of Ontario restrictions. Facilities are at liberty to impose whatever restrictions they choose in their interest of public safety.

Please direct any questions or concerns to 311 as this is not a WMHA policy.

EXEMPTIONS are available through the city for Ontario health approved reasons to use immediately. Please see attached pdf (medical_exemptions_to_vaccination.pdf).

As of Oct 31, exemptions must also be approved through OMHA. Forms and info for this available in this link: https://form.jotform.com/212446027965055

When entering city facilities, all people must
1) complete the City of Windsor online screening https://publicscreening.citywindsor.ca/

AND

2) Show ID at the door with proof of vaccine for 12-17 government ID with proof of one shot

Proof of 2 shots for spectators 12+

Proof of 2 shots for all players or spectators or volunteers

AND

3) Complete WMHA screening as we must submit to WECHU for contact tracing https://wmha-covid.myshopify.com/pages/contact

We thank you for your patience and understanding and ask you to direct all questions and clarifications to 311. Please remember the workers at facilities nor WMHA volunteers at arenas did not make the policies. Please be kind and we look forward to seeing you at the arena.

Club 240
Founded by the late Jimmy Hogan, inductee into the Windsor-Essex County Sports Hall of Fame in 1999. Club 240 had its beginnings in 1960, when Jimmy’s kids started playing outdoor hockey at Memorial Park. At that time the only league operating indoors was Midget; the outdoor season was limited to only 7 or 8 games, as the city didn’t allow teams to go beyond the league into the Ontario Minor Hockey Association playdowns (OMHA).
