At Windsor Minor Hockey we understand the profound significance of Remembrance Day. It's a time to honour and pay tribute to the brave people who have made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom. As a community that values camaraderie, discipline, and respect, it is essential for us to come together and recognize the sacrifices that have paved the way for our way of life.
This Remembrance Day, in a gesture of solidarity, we've provided our players with poppy stickers for their helmets. A poppy is a symbol that serves as a small yet powerful reminder of the sacrifices made by our military personnel. All proceeds from buying these poppy stickers were directed to the Legion, an organization dedicated to supporting veterans and their families.
As part of our Remembrance Day observance, we will be holding a moment of silence before the games. It's a moment to honour memory of our veterans and express our deepest appreciation for their dedication to preserving the values we hold dear.
