U8 MD, U9 MD and U18 A/B Team tryouts will begin in early September!
WMHA intends to host MD level teams at U8 (2017) and U9 (2016) as well as an A team and a B team at U18 (2007/2008). Read on for more info pertaining to each group

Tryout sign up and payment must be completed prior to September 3rd, 2024. Goalies are FREE (no Spordle needed)
Tryouts will be $75 per player and will include a tryout jersey for your player to keep and wear at each tryout. All players must be registered with WMHA prior to stepping on the ice. A tryout schedule will be posted in the coming weeks
U8 MD (2017 born) Coach Kirk Young – WMHA will be hosting a U8 travel team for this coming season. Players must reside within WMHA boundaries. Tryouts for this team will be in September. U8 players will receive 3 ice times per week with a mix of practices and games. The U8 team will be treated as any other travel team, they will receive their travel ice and will have two jerseys (home and away). U8 will play half ice games as per the Hockey Canada pathway against other Bluewater teams (Essex County and Chatham). U8 will be permitted to enter tournaments/jamborees.
The U8 players will not be playing in WMHA House League. The team will have an additional team fee on top of the standard registration fee to cover items such as additional ice time, tournaments, uniforms, apparel, etc. This team will have by-weekly skill development from outside instructors for both skaters and goalies on team practice ice.
U9 (2016 born) - Coach Rob Gyori - WMHA will be hosting a U9 travel team for this coming season.
Players must reside within WMHA boundaries. Tryouts for this team will be in September. U9 players will receive 3 ice times per week with a mix of practices and games. The U9 team will be treated as any other travel team, they will receive their travel ice and will have two jerseys (home and away). U9 will play half ice games as per the Hockey Canada pathway until January, at which time they will transition to full ice games. U9 will play against other Bluewater teams (Essex County and Chatham). U9 will be permitted to enter tournaments/jamborees.

U18 A/B (2007/2008) - A team Coach George Voros, B team Coach Frank Providenti - WMHA will be hosting a U18 A team, we also intend to host a U18 B team if the tryout numbers are adequate. U18 teams will practice once per week plus league games. Both U18 teams will play in the Bluewater league. Additional team fees will be required above the standard registration costs
