EXHIBITION Windsor 8 Riverside 2
In the final game of our exhibition series we played the speedy Riverside Rangers. Riverside was second in scoring and have the ability to change the game on a moments notice. This would be a good test for us.

Period 1

The game begins and it starts quick. Windsor is giving away chances and our goalie is forced to make 4 or 5 saves early in the period. Perhaps we are sluggish from a tough game against Amherstburg yesterday. Windsor has it's first real chance when a blazing break away leave the goalie staring down the barrel of a gun. BOOM off the post perhaps this would not be Windsor day!! Woytowich is forced to make another big save as chances are favouring the Rangers . Late in the first period Thomas puts Windsor up assisted from Harway!!  Windsor appears to be getting the legs back is now starting to play their game as the period ends.

Period 2

As the period starts Windsor is taking control. The defense are able to keep the Riverside forwards from gaining momentum. Our boys began turning it around in the other direction forcing the play in the Riverside zone. Windsor scores 3 goals in this period. Muxy gets the first assisted by Mosey. Poisson gets the second one sheer determination. He battle what appeared to be the entire team and forced his way to the net - this was the play of the day and a great example of what our team is made of!!  The 3rd was Boismier getting help from Muxy and Gamble. Of note, our boys were again playing some hard hockey as we were called for 3 penalties in the first and another 3 in the second. We sure have learned how to kill penalties!! At the end of 2 its Windsor 4 Riverside 0

Period 3 Just over a minute into the period Gamble scores from Boismier and we are up 5-0. Riverside scores 2 back to back goals just over a minute apart to show they are not going to lie down. WIndsor goes on to score 3 more goals with Lucas Gamble scoring the hattie in the 3rd period!! The other goal was from Reimneitz!

In the end we win 8-2 getting stronger as time went on no doubt due to the deep waters of these tournament and exhibition games against higher level teams. Len, you are a mastermind!!

LETS KEEP IT GOING BOYS
