January 15 has passed and our Major Novice AAs have graduated to FULL ICE HOCKEY! To celebrate this occasion, the Windsor Jr. Spitfires will be hosting the Riverside Rangers for their first ever full-ice game at Lanspeary Lions Rink at 5 p.m. on Friday!!! Come out and support the Lil' Spits and their friends from Riverside. Price of admission is a non-perishable item to be donated to the Windsor-Essex Food Bank Association!

With the Windsor Jr. Spitfires Novice AA team busily preparing for their graduation to full-ice hockey on January 15, the boys decided to engage in a little away-from-the-rink bonding over the holidays.

With just weeks until the Windsor Jr. Spitfires Novice AA's take to the ice for playoffs, playing full-ice hockey for the first time, on December 14, the boys took to the gym for a little team bonding with banner sponsor All Level CrossFit!

It has already been a busy month for the Windsor Jr. Spitfires Novice AA team, practising twice a week and tacking on hard-fought games against their rivals from across the Bluewater League. Not resting on their laurels, this past Sunday, the boys came together for a little fundraising and camaraderie. The WMHA's youngest travel team were early risers on Sunday, making their way out to Applebee's on Huron Church for a flapjack fundraiser.

With a little help from our banner sponsors at All Level CrossFit, the Windsor Jr. Spitfires Novice AA team spent a well-earned evening off from the rink with a cross-fit themed team-building event. The boys have been hard at work for over a month under the watch of head coach Alek Stojanov, assistant coaches Jim Quigley, Jace Leach, and Ken Fournier, and goalie instructors Christian Gravel and Devan Mighton, and were deserving of a change of pace. They got it.

The under the watchful eye of NHL veteran and WMHA alum Alek Stojanov, the Windsor Jr. Spitfires Novice 'AA's hit the ice flying on November 1 against the Erie-North Shore Storm. The Lil' Spits, consisting of 12 skaters and two goalies, are a feisty, high-flying group that constantly push the pace and leave it all out on the ice. After four October exhibition games to acclimate themselves to the new OMHA half-ice standard for Novice hockey, the boys started their 2019-20 Bluewater League campaign with three games in rapid succession to start November.
