Blue Water Game #19 Windsor 6 Erie North Shore 1
The Jr Spits travelled to Harrow to battle the Erie North Shore Storm. Windsor last played the Storm on November 21st and tied 3-3. We were hoping to solidify win so we could have a shot at second place.

Coach Len decided to mix things up and try some new lines. Today it worked! We battled hard and won mostly all scrums and came away with greater puck control and far more chances than our opponents across all three lines.

Period 1

Windsor comes out swinging and immediately put the puck in the ENS zone. Windsor continues to pressure. Lester make a nice pass to Miller. This new line is looking good. Later it is Muxlow with a rush but the puck gets away from him. Now Hotham presses but can't get through to the goal. Windsor is controlling the play and you know it is a matter of time. Muxlow takes a pass from Burns and races to the net and scores. 1-0 Windsor. Windsor presses and as the 1st period ends Windsor is leading.

Period 2

The puck drops and again we are playing HARD. Windsor gets a penalty and is on the PK. Miller takes a [ass and is rushing toward the net but is upended. Windsor kills off the penalty and Boismier bangs the puck behind the net. Muxlow receives the puck and moves it up front and Hotham knocks it in. 2-0. Windsor gets a couple of penalties and have to kill off a 5 on 3. They kill off the first and Sperduti, a speedy defenseman makes a rush and shoots from the red circle. The goalie attempts to steer it into the corner but the puck has too much velocity. SCORES ....SPERDUTI, for his second of the year. 3-0 Windsor!!! Windsor is still on the PK as the period ends.

Period 3

The puck drops and WIndsor is a man short. The battle is fairly waged after a minute and Windsor resumes the puck control domination. ENS gets a couple chances but Mila is on task as Aiden was in the first period and a half. Now it is Knowler with the puck. He moves in and the puck is knocked away. Lewis pushes it back in and it falls on Burns stick, who knocks it to Knowler and he shoots - HE SCORES!!! 4-0 Windsor!!!! Later it is Nalli working hard. He is on the puck and steals it. He moves it toward the goal but has it knocked into Miller's control and Miller shoots and scores across the right pad. 5-0 Windsor.
ENS fight back and start getting their chances. ENS have the puck in the Windsor zone and moves across the slot and fire one in. 5-1. Now it is Justin with a slick move to the net and the goalie makes a nice save. Now Miller is robbed with a glove. Later, near the end again it is Nalli with a rush. Nalli bangs it forward and Miller is there with a nice pop and puts it where the goalie is not. 6-1. Windsor presses on and the final buzzer sounds and our Spits are looking like titans for before tomorrow's game against the league leading Riverside Rangers.

Windsor will need to be on top of their game if they want to beat Riverside tomorrow. Windsor enjoys a 1-0-1 series lead against the #1 Rangers. We are looking forward to an exciting battle.
