The regular season is over and we finished it with a bang!! Congrats to the team on their 2-0 win over the LaSalle Sabres. The coaches unanimously agreed that tonight's game was by far the best game each and every player had all season long.  One objective of coaching is to get the team to peak just before playoffs and then maintain and fine tune that level for the duration of the playoffs.  Tonight's game capped a slow return to form since the Columbus tournament and the coaches are very proud of each and every players perseverance to this point.

Tonight's 2-1 loss to LaSalle showed that when we don't play our game we will find ourselves on the wrong side of the scoreboard. Although the game was close in score we were helped by good defense and goaltending. Even though the level of our play was lower than our capabilities we still could have won it.

This weekend has been thus far and will continue to be with our away game tomorrow against LaSalle a weekend of first.

What a great game boys!! Tonight we beat the Tecumseh-Shoreline Eagles by a score of 7-2. Caleb and I would like to thank the team for dedicating the game to us before the drop of the puck out of respect for the loss of our grandfather and father yesterday.  Having two sons as goalies and two grandsons as goalies he loved the position and breakaways so it was fitting to have penalty shot in the game. He also coached many sports and enjoyed the life lessons that team sports teaches more than the sport specific lessons themselves. It i my hope that these types of dedications the team has ...

Today's game against Tecumseh didn't fully end up in the way we were wanting but one thing did happen and that is Tecumseh now knows we are the real deal. A first place team does not celebrate a regular season, 1 goal game, win the way they did without coming to the realization that there were in a dog fight of a game and didn't come out unscathed.  It was a well fought game by both teams and was a pleasure to be a part of.
